The Emerald Coast Swimsuit Calendar Contest has gone co-ed! This year’s event will feature a category for the ladies and the men!
The contest is sponsored by the Northwest Florida Daily News, The Palms, Showbiz Tan, Avant-garde, Club Sun, Brava, Dolphin Cruises, American Laser, Showbiz Tan, Royal Palms/Silver Shells Spa, The Palms Restaurant, Snap Fitness, Fluid Surf Shop, Dolphin Cruise Olin Marler, radio station Coast 93.3, radio station Z96.
The contest will give one lucky grand prize win-ner in each category a weekend stay at The Palms, a photo shoot for a 2010 calendar and a huge package of gifts from area businesses valued at over $2,600. The 11 runners-up will each have their photos taken for the calendar and receive a gift package from local businesses valued at $1,000.
Simply fill out the online form and attach a recent digital photograph of you in a swimsuit. Photos must have been taken in the last three months and must be submitted by the entrant. Entrants must be available for a photo shoot on either Saturday, August 15; Wednesday, August 19; Saturday, August 22; or Wednesday, August 26 between 4:30 p.m. and sunset at The Palms. The photographs from this shoot will be used in the calendar.
Deadline for digital photo submission is July 6. Entry is free.
Photos will be assembled in an online gallery at the Daily News’ Web site. Citizen voting to determine the most deserving entries will begin July 6 at 4 p.m. Each vote costs $1. Proceeds go to the Daily News’ Newspapers in Education fund. Online readers will choose 50 finalists in Round 1 of the voting, then narrow the field to the final 12 in a second round of voting.
