SWEETHEARTS PHOTO CONTEST
OFFICIAL RULES

All federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.
1. Eligibility: Subject to the additional restrictions below, the Sweethearts Photo Contest (the “Contest”) is open to residents of the United States who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of the Northwest Florida Daily News, or Freedom News Service, The Breakers, Pandora’s, Four Points by Sheraton, Magnolia Grill, It’s All About You Massage and Day Spa, Diamond Works, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or to win.
2. Contest period: Contest begins at 12:00 p.m. CDT Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011 and ends at 11:59 a.m. (C.S.T.) Feb. 14, 2011.
3. To enter: Enter by submitting a photo of you and your spouse or significant other along with all required information. Photos must be submitted by one of the individuals depicted in the photo who (a) must be 18 years or older and (b) has the consent of the other person to enter the contest. The person’s name, e-mail address and phone number must be included with all entries. Only one photo per entry. Digital photos should be in jpg or tif format and a minimum of 200 dpi resolution. Prints must be at least 3 inches on one side and no more than 10 inches and include the people’s names and phone numbers on a label on the back of a photo. Entries with incomplete or incorrect information will not be accepted. Poor quality photos of either type will not be accepted. Submitting this information, the photo and an entry form serves as a release for Sponsor and The Northwest Florida Daily News to use all names and photo in The Northwest Florida Daily News and on its Web site. All photos become property of Northwest Florida Daily News and will not be returned. Copyrighted photos must be accompanied by a photographer’s release. Copyrighted photos not submitted with a release will not be accepted.
Online entry: Enter online by visiting the Sweethearts Photo Contest registration page at www.nwfdailynews.com. Complete the entry form, attach the photo, complete any other required fields, and then submit your entry by clicking on the “SUBMIT” button. Online submissions must be received by noon Feb. 2, 2011. By entering, you agree to the terms of these rules.
Mail or in-person entry: Mail a photograph and all information to The Northwest Florida Daily News Sweethearts Photo Contest, P.O. Box 2949, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32549 or drop off in the lobby of The Northwest Florida Daily News, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. All mailed entries must be received no later than mail deliver on Feb. 1, 2011. Only one picture will be accepted. Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, postage due, misdirected or illegible entries, whether originating with sender or sponsor.
The Northwest Florida Daily News reserves the right to disqualify any entries or votes by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the contest. In the event of a dispute, all online entries and/or votes will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the ISP account from which they were sent. For these purposes, an ISP account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such ISP account by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning ISP addresses for the domain associated with such ISP account.
4. Voting rules: Voting for your favorite sweetheart begins at noon CST on Feb. 2, 2011, and ends at noon CST on Feb. 14, 2011. Voting is open to everyone. You can vote online at www.nwfdailynews.com. Your computer must accept cookies, or any successor or similar technology, which may be used for the purpose of entry tracking. Ad blocking software on your computer needs to be disabled so that it doesn’t interfere with processing your entry. The top three vote-getters will be determined at the end of the Feb. 2-14 period.
5. Winner selection: One first-place winner, one second-place winner, and one third-place winner. Winners will be determined by total votes cast at the Northwest Florida Daily News Web site only. In the event of a tie, Sponsor will randomly pick the winner from the tied entries. Winners will be determined between Feb. 14, 2011 and announced to the general public on Feb. 15, depending on the availability of the contestants.
6. Prizes and odds: First place winner will receive a two-night stay at The Breakers on beautiful Okaloosa Island, a $50 gift card to Pandora’s, a select piece of jewelry from Diamond Works, and couple’s massage from It’s All about You. Second-place winner will receive a one-night stay at the Four Points by Sheraton and a $50 gift card to Magnolia Grill. Third-place winner will receive a $50 gift card.
7. Winner notification and acceptance: Winners will be announced in The Northwest Florida Daily News and on www.nwfdailynews.com between Feb. 15, 2011, depending on the availability of the contestants. Winners will be notified at the telephone number or e-mail address provided on the winner’s entry form. If winners are notified by telephone, Sponsor will call during regular business hours at number provided on entry form. Failure to reach winner by phone or e-mail may result in disqualification of winner, forfeiture of his or her interests in all prizes, and selection of a substitute winner from among all remaining eligible entries. To claim prize, each winner must personally visit The Northwest Florida Daily News offices at the Northwest Florida Daily News, 200 Racetrack Road, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., after announcement (office visits must be between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CDT weekdays), present valid photo identification. Failure to comply with any term or condition of these rules may result in a winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute winner. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are nonassignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes. Except where prohibited, acceptance of any prize constitutes winner’s consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation the Internet, or further compensation. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsor.
8. Participation: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this contest as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the contest is compromised by a virus, nonauthorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the contest, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the contest. Should the contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the ballots received before the termination date.
9. Construction: The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
10. Sponsor: The Sweethearts Photo Contest is sponsored by the Northwest Florida Daily News, The Breakers, Pandora’s, Diamond Works, It's All About You, Four Points by Sheraton and Magnolia Grill. The decisions of Sponsor regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the contest shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these rules or in other materials relating to the contest.
